The HD Essential AD&D membership is the perfect supplement with additional benefits for Accidental Death & Dismemberment, as well as identity theft resolution, legal and financial counseling resources.  The Essential AD&D memberships are only available as an add-on to Limited Medical, Short Term Medical or Major Medical plans. The Essential Add-On Accidental Death and Dismemberment is not available as a stand-alone plan.

The carrier will pay the applicable benefit amount, shown in the table below, if an accident results in a covered loss not otherwise excluded. The accident must result from an insured hazard and occur while an insured person is insured under this policy, while it is in force. The covered loss must occur within one (1) year after the accident. If a Covered Person suffers multiple Covered Losses as the result of one Covered Accident, only the single largest benefit amount is paid.

The Child Care Expense benefit is only available to Member + One, or Family policyholders (not Member Only of any plan).

Membership Eligibility

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
  • Between the ages of eighteen (18) and sixty-four (64)
  • Reside in an available state
  • Dependent children must be under the age of nineteen (19) or under the age of twenty-five (25) if enrolled as a full-time student at an Institution of Higher Learning.
    • There is no age limit for an incapacitated dependent child, which means a child who, as a result of being mentally or physically challenged, is permanently incapable of self-support and permanently dependent on the primary insured person for support and maintenance. The incapacity must have occurred while the child was under the age of nineteen (19) or under the age of twenty-five (25) if enrolled as a full-time student at an Institution of Higher Learning.
Insurance benefits are not available to residents of: AK, AZ, DE, HI, ME, MD, MN, MT, NM, NY, NC, OR, SD, UT, WA.
